Principal's Message
Chris Hall
At Footsteps Trust, we believe in nurturing the potential of every individual who walks through our doors. Our mission is to provide a supportive and enriching environment where students can thrive academically, socially and personally. We aim to deliver the widest possible academic curriculum combined with vocational and sporting programs. In doing so,
we will enable our students to successfully access employment, training, and Post 16 further education. We are committed to fostering a community that values diversity, encourages curiosity, and promotes lifelong learning. Our dedicated team of educators and staff work tirelessly to create a safe and inclusive space where every student feels valued and empowered to achieve their best.
Many of our students have failed to achieve at mainstream schools. With our cohort, we believe that "rules without relationships, will not work", and this understanding underpins the relationship between all our staff and students. As the principal, I am proud to lead an institution that prioritses holistic development and prepares students for the opportunities and challenges of the future. Before founding Footsteps, I saw too may kids who were just the same as I was in school - round pegs in square holes without any direction. I founded Footsteps to offer these kids the engagement and guidance that I never had. We want Footsteps to be kind and friendly, and we want all our students to be able to have fun at the proper times. Importantly, we want our school environment to be safe. The members of our highly skilled staff reflect the positive goals of our school community and really care about our success both now, and for the future. They are always looking for better ways of promoting learning and are keen to help us work with each other and on our own.

We want others to recognise students that come to Footsteps for their Respect, Enthusiasm, Attitude, Cooperation and Hard Work, their determination to REACH for their best, and be the best they can be.
